Things continued to move and grow on the writing front. I thought I’d take a moment to catch you up to speed.
- My debut fantasy novel, Mystics of Sonoduhl, continues to sell six months later. I’m pleased with how it’s been going and with the positive reviews I’ve received on Amazon. (Of course I’d love to see more sales and more reviews!)
- I’ve done a few author events and continue to arrange more. These have been fun so far, with the opportunity to meet with fans and talk about reading, writing, and the world of Sonoduhl. I’m looking forward to doing more of this.
- My followup fantasy novel, tentatively titled Heirs of Sonoduhl, has passed yet another hurdle. I completed the first draft and several rounds of editing. My writing critique group has finished its review (that took a long time!) and, as a bonus, my book club read (and enjoyed) it last month. Next stop is querying and, eventually, publishing some time in 2024.
- After much contemplation, I finally started my third fantasy novel. I haven’t settled on a title yet, but like my second it will also be set in a different area of Sonoduhl. Like all my chapter ones it’s been kicking my butt. I’ve soldiered on, though, and have nearly 2,000 written. Some of those words might even survive to the final draft!
